Amy Brenneman first became known to television audiences for her portrayal of Janice Licalsi in the series NYPD Blue, for which she received two Emmy Award nominations. She is a co-founder of the acclaimed Cornerstone Theatre Company. Amy is the creator and executive producer of Judging Amy, based on the experiences of her mother, a superior court judge.
